Description

A Rewilding Journey: Rewilding the World and Ourselves

4 – 11 October 2025

Cost:    We are offering these workshops on a three-tiered price scale. We ask potential participants to reflect on, and choose, which price to pay, taking into account both their own situation and how their payment may help others as well.

£600:    This level of payment will cover the basic costs of the week.

£700:    This will enable us to offer a bursary to someone who has limited financial resources of their own, so they can take part in the workshop.

£850:     Paying this amount will help to fund a rewilding project, as well as contributing to the bursary fund.

Full details are available here.

From an organisational point of view, I work for a charity in Ireland called Hometree, who do similar work, on a smaller scale than Alan has spent decades doing! This course was vital to our current success and couldn’t recommend it higher, I would like each of my colleagues to attend this course, to understand the complexity of it, but also the feelings, strategies, values, that go along side landscape restoration at scale

This week long immersion challenges our perceptions and opens a refreshed way of assessing the Wellbeing of the landscape and its history. You will be in spectacular surroundings living and sharing a simple dwelling once occupied by those caring for their animals in summer grazing. You can be assured of a unique experience to open your heart and be.m

The week was transformational for me, both personally and career wise. To spend a week immersed in nature, learning the principles of ecological restoration and rewilding with such a knowledgeable expert, who, along with Pupak, created a deeply compassionate and supportive environment to create and explore our own projects, was a truly exceptional and inspirational experience. The network created from the group means we continue to give each other support as we move our projects forwards, which is invaluable. I feel so lucky to have had this amazing week, thank you Pupak and Alan.

My week with Alan, Pupak and the other participants was truly inspirational. The thought and attention that had gone into the construction of the week made for a highly informative and at times emotional experience that enabled us all to deeply connect to our rewilding missions and realise how to progress them further. For anyone who is thinking of starting their own rewilding project (no matter how big or small!) then I can not recommend this week enough. Thanks Alan & Pupak!

This is an essential workshop for anyone considering getting involved in rewilding. To spend a week with Alan Watson Featherstone, one of the pioneers of UK rewilding, is an unparalleled opportunity that is inspirational and educational in equal measure. Alan took us through the process of making a rewilding project happen, from idea to millions of trees planted and thousands of acres restored. Meeting other likeminded people at the workshop was invaluable and the support network we now share is exceptional. I cannot rate this workshop more highly.

I attended this workshop in September 2019. I was completely wowed by the experience that Alan and Pupak put together and to say I had an amazing time is an understatement. We spent time exploring the local landscape and looking at the rewilding work done so far and then moved onto discuss project ideas some of us had brought. We also had a day midweek alone to let our own ideas percolate and to really experience the land.
Alan’s knowledge and experience was awe inspiring and Pupak was a brilliant facilitator with a wonderful approach. They created a welcoming space where we could all contribute or just listen. I left feeling invigorated and inspired and I have moved my own project forward. I urge anyone to book this workshop, you will be so glad you did!

What might it look like in Europe if global warming causes Atlantic Overturning Circulation (AMOC) to collapse, inhibiting the warm ocean currents to Europe?

Modest changes in Europe's summer paired with catastrophically colder winters.
