‘A Rewilding Journey’ workshop scheduled for 14-21 May 2022 in Glen Affric

14 May 2022

14 May 2022–
21 May 2022

Following the success of the workshop ‘A Rewilding Journey: Rewilding the World and Ourselves’ that we ran in October 2021, we have now scheduled the workshop to take place again in Glen Affric from 14 – 21 May 2022.

The workshop is being offered for people who have a serious interest in rewilding and are keen to make that a focus of practical work in their lives. It offers both an in depth practical experience of rewilding in action and a personal journey of discovery to find our individual power to make a real and lasting positive difference in the world. The week will include an opportunity to connect deeply with wild Nature in the Caledonian Forest, carrying out some practical ecological restoration work, visits to sites that show the dramatic results of rewilding, an exploration of how to initiate and develop a rewilding project and the sharing of practical techniques and tools to turn our personal visions and dreams into successful results. If you feel called to set up or develop a rewilding project in your local area (or for an ecosystem that you care deeply about) and want to know how go about that, this week is designed for you!

Further information about the workshop is available here and bookings can be made here.

Kittiwakes are nesting on the sandstone cliffs of the Moray Coast just now. Between couples exhibiting pair bonding behaviour, single birds advertising their availability & squabbling neighbours at the densely-packed nesting sites, there are a lot of red tongues on display!

I saw, for the first time, an Aedes sp Mosquito feeding on a Box Turtle today. I was thrilled to get a capture!
